Scumbag of the Month

What is it about assholes with ex-girlfriends that they never got along with that makes them go out and do the most reprehensible shit to try and get a little payback? I mean, every week it seems I read about some shitbag who was in the proverbial "troubled relationship" or "rocky relationship" or "contentious relationship" with some woman they almost always abused, knocked the crap out of, cheated on, and invariably had multiple kids with. You'd think these pieces of human flotsam would be happy to get away from the woman, (often leaving the children behind with them while lamenting the loss of the welfare check--if indeed they don't come back and demand part of it). Well, this time around it's one Terrence Carter who meets the criteria of ex-boyfriend getting back at ex-girlfriend, and in the process, doing something so hideous that it meant his turd floated to the top of the cesspool above all the others.

Terrence Carter, you see, didn't just go back after his girlfriend and try to slap her around or punish her in front of her friends. He didn't chase her down and try to shoot her, torch her car, or beat her up. Nope, Carter instead went after Corinthian Houston, her 5 year old son. He kidnapped the boy, brought him to an abandoned home right next door to his own mother's place, and tied the boy to a leather chair with an electrical cord--wrapping it around the boy's neck.

Then the fucking scumbag set him on fire, and burned him alive. He didn't strangle the kid with the cord and then burn the body. Nope, he lit the boy up and left him to burn to death.

Amazing, eh? I mean, really, I don't care *what* the fuck your ex girlfriend did to you. Had Carter's ex tortured his elderly mother to death, then I could see going after *her.* But her son? What the fuck does burning a little boy to death have to do with your problems with your ex girlfriend? What kind of cowardly pussy kidnaps a helpless child, ties him down and charbroils him alive?

Carter's mother probably knew her good-for-less-than-nothing son was involved. Not only did the 26 year old loser live with her, he only went so far as next door to slaughter this kid. Not surprisingly, it was one of Carter's brothers who found the burned body and told the elder Carter, who called police. Shortly thereafter, Natchitoches cops put two and two together, identified the dead little kid as Houston's son, linked her to Carter and whammo, into the bracelets Carter went. At last report, he had been cooperating with cops, talking about the "dispute" Carter had with Houston.

Dispute... Some dispute. Carter and his ex-girlfriend have a problem, Carter kidnaps and burns a child to death. Somehow, I think the term "overreaction" is lost on a shitbag like Carter. In fact, if you said "overreaction" to him, he would look at you like you just spoke in Aramaic. Multisyllabic words probably confuse a lowlife like Carter, who thought that he could get away with abducting a 5 year old, and then just leave his charred body tied to a chair next door. As if cops wouldn't figure *this* one out...

So that's my guy for scumbag of the month. I can only hope a morbidly heinous death interrupts his prison term once he is convicted. Maybe something in the wood shop...something to do with a lathe and maybe a power saw. Possibly the use of a drill press...and I wouldn't mind hearing about the egregious misuse of a wood-burning detailing tool. Now *that* would be fitting. And no, I have not changed my stance on crimes perpetrated inside the walls. If these things were to occur, well, I would hope that a thorough investigation would be made and charges brought against anybody implicated.

Now, if such an investigation didn't turn up any suspects, well...Sometimes, that's just the way it goes.
